I'm a User Experience Professional with a purpose to create meaningful interactions and build interfaces that enable the target audience to achieve their goals.
I have a bachelor's degree (BSc) in Mathematics, which, among others, taught me how to apply structured thinking into creative design and draw parallelisms from mathematics problem solving techniques.
I have a masters (MSc) in Human Computer Interaction with Egonomics from UCL, which taught me how to apply science and psychology to User Experience and Interaction Design decisions.
Music is an integral part of my life and composing it is one of the ways my creativity is channelled
I love photography. There are many similarities between taking pictures and designing interfaces. You need to direct, use the equipment at hand, and remove the needed elements from your composition that don’t contribute to the storytelling.
I apply reason and justification for every design decision made by mapping them to the requirements from the end users and the business.
I've conducted, planned and analysed User Research and Usability Testing doing:
Wizard of Oz technique, GOMS, Remote Usability Testing, Interviews, Task completion with Think Aloud, Guerilla Testing
Sketch, Keynote, Axure, Balsamiq, Proto.io, The traditional pen and paper
Animations are a key part of the user experience. When used sensibly, they can help with discovery of interface elements, navigation, and contribute to an overall experience that will delight the customers and end users.
I've communicated the animation design and requirements with Stakeholders, end users during the usability testing sessions, and Development teams using a variety of tools such as:
Keynote, Axure, Origami, Flash
The (occasional) Visual Designer
Even though professionally trained as a visual designer, I appreciate a good design, and enjoy contributing to visual design ideas when needed. I use tools like:
Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator
The (occasional) Developer
Though not a professional developer, I was exposed to development during my "Digital Systems and Technology enhanced Education" MSc where I was taught the basics of:
The Conference Speaker
When the schedule allows, I occasionally am a trainer for Mobile UX Academy, teaching Wireframing and Prototyping as part of a bigger UX training course.
Sectors I've worked in
I've mainly worked in:
Risk and Compliance,
Health and Fitness,
Oil sectors for many of the Fortune 500 companies.
I've created or helped create systems, platforms, hybrid and native apps.
